Beyonce's possible pregnancy has sent the media into baby bump overdrive... it's The Dredge

All the best of the day’s celebrity dirt.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

The world is now on baby bump watch after Jay-Z seemed to insinuate that Beyoncé may or may not be pregnant. During the first of their On The Run dates in Paris, Jay-Z sang the lyric, “‘Cause she pregnant with another one”.

This has prompted intense speculation that Beyoncé is expecting the couple’s second child and sent the media into baby bump overdrive, with every image of the singer’s hand touching her stomach now interpreted as a possible ~sign~.

Today, The Daily Mail reports that Beyoncé “appeared to be repeatedly touching her belly protectively” during a trip to a museum last week, while Just Jared has posted “10+ pictures of Beyoncé holding her stomach at the museum”.

The Mirror, meanwhile, notes that Beyoncé was spotted drinking champagne recently, but also quotes a Beyoncé fan as saying, “She looks thicker though. Like in the stomach, which usually doesn’t happen when she fluctuates.”

Elsewhere, a short film starring the couple was released on Nowness today. Bang Bang, directed by Dikkayl Rimmasch, portrays the couple as outlaws and is exactly what you would expect. (Nowness)

Nicki Minaj’s old school has banned her from coming to speak to students. The Anaconda rapper had wanted to address students at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, but the school declined her offer, citing her insistence on filming the visit.

The fact is that Ms. Minaj was told by the NYC Department of Education (DOE) that she would not be allowed to enter the school with a television crew. The DOE has policies in place to protect the privacy and security of all its students. I’m sure we all appreciate the strict enforcement of these policies with regard to the safety of our children.

For her part, Minaj expressed disappointment at the decision and tweeted, “No need for me to inspire them, I guess.” (E!)

Miley Cyrus covered Led Zeppelin and Roy Orbison over the weekend. The singer covered Led Zeppelin’s Baby, I’m Gonna Leave You and Roy Orbison’s It’s Over, and posted them to her Soundcloud. Cyrus had previously covered the latter on Chelsea Lately.

As for what people thought?

“My ears will never be the same. Please stay away from listening to Miley Cyrus’ cover of Babe I’m Gonna Leave you … it’s horrendous,” opined one user. Another fan wrote, “OMG THIS HER VOICE IS AMAZING”.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
